CM Vishnu Deo Sai Resolves Public Grievances on the Spot at Jan Darshan

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 8, 2026: Demonstrating the true spirit of people-centric governance, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday directly addressed citizens’ grievances and approved on-the-spot solutions during Jan Darshan held at his official residence-cum-office in the state capital. The public interaction programme emerged as a powerful example of responsive administration, where dialogue, empathy and swift action came together to deliver tangible relief to the people.

A total of 1,950 applications were received during the Jan Darshan, with citizens arriving from far-flung areas of Chhattisgarh to present their problems. Listening patiently to each applicant, the Chief Minister issued clear and immediate instructions to concerned officials for prompt redressal. In several cases, financial assistance was sanctioned instantly, underscoring the government’s priority to ensure timely support to the needy.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sai said Jan Darshan is not merely a forum to collect applications, but a living expression of the government’s accountability to the common people. He directed officials to act on every grievance with sensitivity and urgency, so that citizens are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.

Mobility and Independence for Persons with Disabilities

Jan Darshan brought renewed hope to several persons with disabilities. The Chief Minister personally handed over battery-operated tricycles to Jeevan Das Manikpuri of Khamtarai, Raipur, and Bharat Sahu of Arang, restoring their mobility and independence. Tricycles and wheelchairs were also provided to Chandu Yadav and Suman Sahu of Raipur.

In another humane gesture, hearing aids were immediately provided to Sagar Nayak and Umesh Patel, enabling them to regain their ability to hear. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the assistance would transform their daily lives and reduce dependence on others.

₹5 Lakh Aid for Paralysis Patient

A significant moment during Jan Darshan was the relief granted to Basanti Sao of Badetemari village in Mahasamund district. Suffering from paralysis in her legs, she approached the Chief Minister seeking financial help for medical treatment. Taking swift action, Shri Sai sanctioned ₹5 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Financial Assistance Scheme. Basanti had earlier received ₹75,000 in aid, and the fresh assistance brought major relief to her and her family.

Relief for Elderly Labourer

The grievance of 60-year-old unmarried labourer Hanumant Rao from Tatyapara, Raipur, was also resolved instantly. After losing his parents, Rao faced difficulties in obtaining a ration card. Upon hearing his case, the Chief Minister directed officials to immediately issue a ration card, enabling him to access government welfare schemes.

Immediate Financial Support Approved

The Chief Minister also provided ₹20,000 as immediate financial assistance to 17-year-old differently-abled Raj Sharma of Suraj Nagar Labhandi, Raipur, who is disabled in both legs. Financial assistance of ₹20,000 was sanctioned for the marriage of Phool Giri Goswami’s daughter, while Omprakash Nishad of Raigarh, who is unable to walk, received ₹20,000 to support his higher education.

Concluding the programme, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said Jan Darshan reflects the government’s resolve to reach the last person in society. “When governance listens with empathy and responds with action, the spirit of Antyodaya truly comes alive,” he remarked, reaffirming his commitment to transparent, humane and citizen-first administration.
