450 Grievances Resolved at ‘Sushasan Tihar’ Camp in Chichirda; Large Turnout from 17 Panchayats

Public representatives distribute welfare benefits, ration and Ayushman cards as villagers receive on-the-spot relief

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 14, 2026: A massive public response was witnessed at a ‘Samadhan Shivir’ (Resolution Camp) organised under the state government’s Sushasan Tihar at Gram Panchayat Chichirda in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district of Chhattisgarh, where officials resolved 450 public applications on the spot, providing immediate relief to villagers.

The camp, held as part of the government’s initiative to bring administrative services directly to people’s doorsteps, drew a large gathering of residents from Chichirda and 17 nearby Gram Panchayats in the Balodabazar block. Officials reported that 1,145 applications related to various public grievances and welfare benefits were submitted during the event, of which 450 cases were resolved immediately by the concerned departments.

Authorities said the initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance by ensuring that citizens, particularly in rural areas, can access government schemes and grievance redressal mechanisms without having to travel long distances to district headquarters.

Welfare Benefits Distributed to Eligible Beneficiaries

During the programme, local public representatives, led by Janpad Panchayat President Sulochana Yadav, distributed assistance materials, cheques and certificates to beneficiaries under multiple government schemes.

Several villagers received new ration cards, enabling them to access subsidised food grains under the public distribution system. Beneficiaries were also issued health insurance cards under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides financial coverage for medical treatment.

Job cards under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) were also distributed, ensuring employment opportunities for rural households. In addition, keys to newly constructed houses were handed over to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, helping several families move into permanent homes.

Various government departments also provided essential equipment and materials aimed at supporting livelihoods and community development. The Fisheries Department distributed large fishing nets and ice boxes to fishermen to improve their productivity and income. The Horticulture Department supplied fruit-bearing saplings to farmers and villagers to promote plantation and nutritional security.

Meanwhile, the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare distributed sports kits to local children and budding athletes, encouraging participation in sports and physical activities at the grassroots level.

Departmental Stalls Spread Awareness

The camp venue also featured departmental stalls and exhibitions, where officials from different departments explained the details of government welfare schemes to villagers. These information centres helped residents understand eligibility criteria, application procedures and benefits available under various programmes.

Officials addressing the gathering highlighted the importance of public participation and awareness in ensuring that the maximum number of citizens can benefit from government initiatives. They also shared information about upcoming development programmes and departmental activities planned for the region.

Similar Camps Held Across the District

The wave of grievance redressal activities extended beyond Chichirda. A similar resolution camp was organised in Jangda village in the Simga block, where officials addressed local issues and assisted residents in availing government services.

In addition, special grievance redressal camps were conducted across seven Urban Local Bodies of the district, where citizens submitted applications related to civic services, welfare benefits and administrative concerns.

Officials said the ‘Samadhan Shivir’ initiative has proved effective in resolving problems at the grassroots level, reducing bureaucratic delays and strengthening public trust in the administration.

Authorities added that such camps will continue to be organised across districts to ensure that governance becomes more accessible, transparent and responsive to the needs of citizens in Chhattisgarh.
