TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 10,2026: Housing and Environment Minister O. P. Choudhary will chair a high-level review meeting with representatives of major industrial units on July 12 to assess the progress of plantation activities undertaken during the 2026 monsoon season and finalise the roadmap for future environmental initiatives.
The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at Babylon Capital on G.E. Road in Raipur and will bring together presidents, vice presidents and directors of medium and large-scale industries operating in the state.
According to officials, the review will focus on the implementation of ongoing plantation programmes, proposed plantation targets for the current monsoon, survival and maintenance of saplings, monitoring mechanisms and industry-specific action plans to strengthen environmental conservation efforts.
The meeting follows an earlier review conducted on July 8 by Raju Agasimani, who issued guidelines to industrial units on large-scale plantation, protection of saplings and compliance with environmental responsibilities.
Officials said the July 12 meeting will provide an opportunity for the minister to directly interact with senior representatives of the industrial sector, review the progress of plantation activities and issue further directions to ensure effective implementation of the programme.
The state government aims to enhance Chhattisgarh’s green cover through active participation of industries, strengthen environmental conservation measures and ensure that plantation targets for the 2026 monsoon season are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.
