Over 8,000 vacancies expected across technical and non-technical sectors; districts asked to step up mobilisation of youth
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 23, 2026: The Chhattisgarh Department of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment will organise a state-level job fair in Raipur on October 7 and 8, with more than 8,000 employment opportunities expected to be offered to job seekers.
The fair will be held at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium under the patronage of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The vacancies will cover both technical and non-technical sectors, with major industries and private establishments being encouraged to participate.
The department has asked industries and private employers from across the State to make a larger number of vacancies available through the job fair. Details of the vacancies will be made available on the e-Rozgar portal, through which eligible candidates can register for the event.
The government is also planning a programme at which the Chief Minister will distribute offer letters to candidates selected through state-level and district-level job fairs. Districts have been asked to submit the lists of selected candidates by October 1.
To encourage wider participation, the department has directed officials to undertake publicity campaigns across all districts through Gram Panchayats and urban local bodies. District administrations have also been asked to ensure the participation of youth selected through district and state-level job fairs at the main event in Raipur.
The department has called for coordinated efforts at the district level to reach more job seekers and employers and facilitate maximum participation in the two-day recruitment event.
