Duplicate marksheets, migration certificates and answer-sheet services to be delivered within 60 days
TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 4,2026: Students seeking academic documents and examination-related services from the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will now have access to a time-bound process, with key services brought under the ambit of the Public Service Guarantee Act.
The move, initiated by School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, covers services including duplicate migration certificates and duplicate marksheets, re-totaling and re-evaluation of answer sheets, and provision of photocopies of answer scripts.
A 60-day timeframe has been prescribed for issuing duplicate migration certificates and duplicate marksheets. Applications for re-totaling, re-evaluation and photocopies of answer sheets will also be processed within 60 days after completion of the prescribed procedures.
Yadav said students should not have to make repeated visits to government offices to obtain their own academic documents. He said timely access to such documents was important for higher education admissions, scholarships, competitive examinations and other academic requirements.
The minister said the time-bound system was intended to make the process simpler and more transparent while improving accountability in the delivery of examination-related services.
He directed officials to handle student-related applications with sensitivity and adhere strictly to the prescribed timelines. The government said the system would provide students and parents greater clarity about the processing of applications and help reduce delays.
The services covered under the new framework are expected to particularly benefit students requiring duplicate academic documents or answer scripts for admission, scholarship and competitive examination purposes.
