Preparations Completed for Paddy Procurement at MSP from November 15

TFP Bureau, Raipur, 14 November 2025: With paddy procurement at the Minimum Support Price set to begin on November 15, the Chhattisgarh government has completed extensive preparations across all 2,739 procurement centres in the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has instructed officials to ensure that farmers face no difficulty during the procurement process and that every facility is made available to them at the centres.

Under the supervision of district collectors, the Departments of Cooperatives, MARKFED and Food have coordinated efforts to streamline procurement arrangements. Officials in all districts are conducting field inspections to assess preparedness and ensure that operations run smoothly from the opening day.

At every procurement centre, facilities such as adequate gunny bags, sheds, raised platforms, drinking water arrangements and shaded seating areas have been provided. The government has also prioritised timely lifting of procured paddy to prevent stockpile congestion and ensure uninterrupted arrivals.

To support farmers with immediate financial needs, micro-ATMs have been installed in all 2,058 cooperative societies. This will enable farmers to withdraw required cash soon after selling their produce.

Strict monitoring has been strengthened at inter-state borders to prevent illegal transportation of paddy. Check posts have been set up and surveillance intensified to curb unauthorised inflow. Meanwhile, procurement centres are being equipped with drainage systems, tarpaulins and other protective measures to safeguard stored paddy. CCTV cameras are being installed at key locations to maintain transparency and ensure efficient management.

Officials involved in procurement have been instructed to follow proper stacking procedures and issue only the appropriate number of tokens to farmers. Special emphasis has been placed on advance preparations to avoid disruptions in case of adverse weather.

With all arrangements in place, the government aims to deliver a seamless, transparent and farmer-centric procurement season, ensuring that paddy purchases proceed efficiently across Chhattisgarh.
