Mukesh Kumar Bansal Directs Officials to Expedite Construction While Maintaining Quality Standards
Raipur, May 28: Public Works Department (PWD) Secretary Mukesh Kumar Bansal on Wednesday inspected the under-construction Kayaghat Bridge over the Kelo River and the Marine Drive project in Raigarh, directing officials to accelerate the pace of work while ensuring strict quality standards.
During the inspection, Mr. Bansal reviewed the progress of both ambitious infrastructure projects with Raigarh Collector Mayank Chaturvedi and departmental officials. He instructed engineers and contractors to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on construction quality.
Later, the PWD Secretary chaired a review meeting at the Raigarh Circuit House to assess the status of ongoing road and building construction works in the district. He emphasized that all projects must be executed with a focus on durability, functionality, and timely completion.
Mr. Bansal reviewed the progress of roads and bridges being constructed across various PWD sub-divisions in Raigarh district before taking stock of major new building projects planned in the region.
He sought detailed updates regarding the proposed construction of a Transit Hostel, Medical College Hospital building, Prayas Residential School building, Working Women’s Hostel, and a Sports Complex. Officials were directed to initiate work on these projects without delay.
The PWD Secretary stressed that adherence to timelines and quality standards should remain the department’s top priorities in all infrastructure works being undertaken across the district.
The meeting was attended by Raigarh Collector Mayank Chaturvedi, District Panchayat CEO Abhijit Baban Pathare, PWD Engineer-in-Chief V.K. Bhatpahari, Chief Engineers R.K. Ratre and G.S. Mandavi, along with Superintending Engineers K.P. Sant, N.K. Lal, J.P. Tigga, Executive Engineers, and Sub-Divisional Officers.
