TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 10, 2025: In a significant move aimed at addressing the impact of Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh, the state government has implemented the Naxal Surrender/Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy–2025. The policy, notified by the Home Department on March 28, seeks to provide structured support and rehabilitation to surrendered Naxalites as well as individuals and families affected by Naxal-related violence, including cases of death, serious injury, or permanent disability.
To ensure effective execution of the policy, the government has directed all districts to constitute special rehabilitation committees. These committees will be headed by the respective District Collectors, with Superintendents of Police serving as secretaries. Members will also include Divisional Forest Officers, CEOs of District Panchayats, two officers nominated by the Collector, and representatives of armed forces.
Dedicated Nodal Officers and Digital Monitoring
Each district and sub-division will appoint a nodal officer responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation process. Their contact details will be shared with the state government for streamlined coordination. These officers will play a central role in tracking progress and ensuring support reaches the intended beneficiaries.
A dedicated digital portal is also being developed under this policy, where the details of surrendered individuals and victims will be uploaded and assigned unique IDs. District officials will monitor the implementation through a real-time dashboard to track progress and ensure timely disbursement of support.
The Home Department has instructed that all eligible victim cases—from the formation of the state to the present—be identified, and necessary relief and rehabilitation measures be initiated on a priority basis. District Collectors have been asked to follow the prescribed policy guidelines to ensure prompt and transparent delivery of aid and rehabilitation efforts.
